Portsea Pier.

You park in Portsea car park and it is a short pier to walk down.  The pier has heavy boat traffic near the lower landing so be careful if using this for entry and exit.  A giant stride on the high side is always fun but check for depth before doing so.

To the left of the pier is a reef.  We have a great map in the shop so drop in and check it out.  This pier is always busy with training divers. Can be affected by swell outside the heads.

Sea Dragon. Not as numerous as Flinders Pier but growing in numbers Look for disturbed sand (black soil from under sand) there is usually a stargazer(Kathetostoma laeve) underneath. They have a nasty bite so don't put fingers near mouth. Sea slugs on pylons and sea floor. Star gazer Just visible note the discolored sand around

live it..dream it..dive it!!
