Hire or Buy?
Having your own gear is
always the safest alternative. By having your own wetsuit, you will
always know what weight to allocate and a well fitted wetsuit keeps out
the cold! Your own BCD will allow you to
permanently place all you equipment so that you can reach things such as
knives, surface marker buoy
easily and without stress. Your regulator and computer will always be
the same and placed in the same configuration so that in emergencies you
will always know where they are. A computer takes out the worry of
planning your multiple dives.
With tanks the rule of thumb is
that if you dive more
that 20 times a year and hire your tank then you have paid for your tank. Ezibuy is always
available. A commercial lay-by with no
interest ever!
