Your Scuba Diver and Open Water Course are just the beginning of your Dive Experiences.  Our underwater realm has many and diverse opportunities for you to explore. 

You may love wrecks, or reefs or just like to photograph all you see ....whatever the interest you have we have the expertise to assist you.  And as you learn on your Open Water Course it is very important to have the correct knowledge and skills when undertaking new levels of achievement.

Specialty Courses can include:

Digital Underwater Photography
  *  Capture special underwater moments that last forever
 * Learn about cameras, and get closer to that perfect underwater picture to  share with family and friends

Boat    
  *  Increase your comfort levels on boats as you learn more about equipment storage, and conduct
Computer
  *know how to use all functions of your computer and plan your dives so that yo get the most from the days diving.
Equipment
  *  Just what can you do to fix those little problems in the field.  From how to pull your leaking mask, repairing your wetsuit to analysing a problem with your regulator a specialty not to be missed
Wreck
  *intimate knowledge of local wreck sites and their history
  *feel confident to enter a wreck and hand a silted up situation
  *discover amazing havens of aquatic life 

Navigation
*  feel confident in all new diving situations, now you will find your way home
 
*Learn how to use both digital and analogue compasses
Deep
  *see new and different underwater creatures on deeper   dives that don't live in shallow depths
  *deep diving is exciting, adventurous and thrilling
  *go to new dive sites

Enriched Air -
  *S
afely extend your time underwater & enjoy more dives as shorter surface interval means you get back into the water quicker
Advanced Nitrox & Decompression
   *Dive beyond the recreational limits to 45 metres learn how to manage decompression diving and see wrecks you would not normally have the opportunity to see.

Oxygen Provider
    * You buddy may need you to administer oxygen, if you dive from your own boat this is a must to carry and know how to administer.
Stress and Rescue
 
*Do you know how well you would react to a stressful situation or know what to do should you need to rescue a buddy.  This course is essential to all divers.
Night and Limited Visibility-
   *The night world is wonderful, this gives you the confidence to dive safely in a night environment and know what equipment is essential.
First Aid
 
All levels offered by our experienced paramedics and nurses on staff. From basic C.P.R to full workplace requirements.

What do I need to do after Learning to dive?

Harbour Dive recommends regular diving at least once a month.  If you don't dive within the first three months after your course it is like starting all over again.

The first phase includes the Rescue and Boat component and the second phase includes the remaining 3 specialties.
